WARNING, Products manufactured by Airey-Thompson Co. may contain a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

In 1986, the State of California voted into law "Proposition 65" (Often referred to as Prop 65).  This is the 'California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986'.  Any product that is manufactured in, sold in, or brought into California is subject to the provision of this law.

The State of California maintains a list of all chemicals that it considers to be a carcinogen or have reprodutive toxicity.  This list includes chemicals that range from very nasty substances to everyday household items.  Compliance with the law requires that products that contain any amount of one or more of the listed chemicals must have a warning label.  There are no threshold limits associated with the items on the list.  The requirements are based on content, not exposure.  Therefore, even trace quantities of any of the hundreds of items listed triggers the warning requirement.  We have provided the warning shown above to comply with this California State law.

We have no reason to believe that normal handling of our products will result in any exposure risk.
